About Genevieve
From an early age, I have been inclined to draw and be involved in artistic activities. I did this by taking private lessons throughout middle school and exhausting my arts courses in high school, taking every art elective available. The art room was a place of comfort and freedom for me to express myself and to approach problems in a different form of learning. It was an easy decision for me to go to college for the arts, but education was something that grew on me after having multiple encounters with young learners in my first years of college. I grew to love their enthusiasm and I have a strong desire to help others. In many settings I have worked with diverse groups of learners, including English language learners and students with special needs. My experiences have prepared me for a broad range of materials and subjects that I feel that I can pass down to my students. With my strengths of diligence, timeliness, and constant reflection, I can improve my teaching methods and continue to be structured in the classroom. Above all, I hope to be a good influence and a mentor in building positive relationships with my students.
