Cardboard Cityscapes
This 6th grade class learned about low-relief sculpture and perspective through background, middleground, and foreground. They were shown images of skyscrapers and were provided time to look up images of their own to sketch from. Many students came up with their own design as architects. These designs were drawn onto cardboard in varying heights and widths to be cut out and arranged to show three-dimensional relief.
